R&D project Centre of Competence has been completed with financial support of TA CR

Project outputs offer 65 results for possible commercialization

NUVIA has cooperated with a number of other entities from the commercial and state spheres on the project of the Centre for Development of Technologies for Nuclear and Radiation Safety: RANUS – TD for 8 years. The total cost of the project was CZK 342.4 million, with a significant part of the funds provided by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR).

The purpose of the project was to increase the efficiency, competitiveness and export of Czech industry in the production of radiation and nuclear detection technologies and intelligent evaluation systems used in the nuclear fuel cycle, as well as in other industrial applications and applied research, healthcare, supervision, in applications in geology and space research, as well as in basic research.

For the whole period, 65 results were solved at the level of prototypes, methodologies, proven technologies, which will be possible to commercialize in the next period. Many results have also been achieved at the functional sample level, which will need to be completed at the owners expense of the result to the prototype level.

Commercialization is related to NUVIA and CRYTUR companies, which are established global distributors of products in a given area. The cooperating organizations, such as the Institute of Technical and Experimental Physics of Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University, Ministry of Defence & Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, University of Defence, TEMA and The National Radiation Protection Institute will also be important partners for further cooperation in the following R&D projects.
